My passion is to teach children, help grow young minds while challenging them to reach their learning potential. I have my Masters in Childhood & Special Education and have taught for 12 years. Throughout my career at CMS I have mentored new teachers, led professional development courses, participated in school leadership team, and have chaired several community events. For the past several years I have worked one on one with children of all ages in our community by supporting their learning needs. I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, as well as hiking with my two dogs Bella and Hunter.
I am originally from India. I moved to the USA in 2012 and since then have lived in Illinois and Washington, before moving to Mooresville with my family in 2015. My husband and I have an 9 year old son who attends Coddle Creek Elementary. Even though I have a Bachelors in Biotechnology and Masters in Business Administration, teaching young minds always felt natural to me. I have previous experience as a lead teacher for 1 and 2 year old’s at The Learning Experience , also I have worked as a substitute teacher at St. Patrick’s Preschool. I enjoy watching children get excited about learning and it is an honor to be part of their life.
I am so excited for the opportunity to watch your children learn and grow. I have a wide range of experience working with children. I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my Master's degree in Mathematics Education. I was a middle school mathematics teacher for 10 years before we relocated here from New Hampshire in 2015 for my husband's job. I've tutored children ranging in ages from 4 to 13 both in person and online. I have also coached youth basketball and worked as a summer camp counselor. I live with my wonderful husband, Bobby and our two boys, Matthew, age 8 and Mason, age 11. I also have two rescue dogs, Sam and Maya. I love to read, exercise, and spend time with my family and friends.
I am so excited to be working with the Bumblebees this year! This will be my third year assistant teaching at Beehive, and I couldn’t be happier to be back doing what I love. I’ve lived in Mooresville for the past five years with my husband, our 10-year-old son, and our two furry pets—a cat and a dog. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy volunteering at my son’s school and cheering him on at his many sporting events. He keeps us busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m truly looking forward to getting to know each of your children and being part of their early learning journey. It’s such a joy to watch them grow, explore, and discover new things throughout the year. I know we have a wonderful year ahead filled with learning, laughter, and lots of fun!
